Cedar Bayou Channel Improvements

Customer - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Location - Cedar Bayou, TX

This project consisted of a joint effort between RIGID Constructors Civil and Marine Divisions.

CIVIL:

25 acres of clearing and grubbing, 300,000 cy of mechanical excavation. Construction of a containment dike (210,000 cy) and concrete weir installation

Placement Area 1 Levee Construction:

50 acres of clearing and grubbing, 330,000 cy of levee construction and spillbox installation.

Placement Area 2 Levee Construction:

30 acres of clearing and grubbing, 220,000 cy of levee construction and spillbox installation

MARINE:

Marine portion of work includes over 800,000 cubic yards of dredging along with 70,000 tons of Rip Rap installation.
